Follow the steps below to connect Contact Form 7 with Trello and simplify your workflow.

Before you begin, ensure both Contact Form 7 and Essential Addons for Contact Form 7 (PRO) are installed on your WordPress site.

Enable Trello Integration

Before connecting your Trello account with Contact Form 7, you need to enable the Trello integration.

Follow the steps below to get started:

  • Navigate to the Contact Form 7 menu.
  • Go to Essential Addons.
  • Click the Global Settings tab > Integrations > Trello > Enable Trello Integration.

Once you activate the Trello Integration toggle, you’ll see a few additional options. This is where you configure your Trello settings and enter the required credentials to connect your Trello account.

Here’s what each field means:

  • Trello API Key: A Trello API key is a unique authentication token that allows external applications to securely access and interact with your Trello account.
  • Get Token Code: Click the Generate Token button to create your Trello token.
  • Trello Token: A Trello token is used along with your API key to authenticate and verify the connection.

How to Access the Trello API & Token?

  • Log in to your Trello Account.
  • Navigate to Trello Admin > check the Developer’s Terms box, and click Continue.

  • Navigate to API key > Click Generate a new API key > Generate API key.
  • Here you will be able to copy the Trello API key.

  • After entering the Trello API key in the required fields, click Generate Token.
  • You will be redirected to the Trello authentication page; click Allow to grant the required permissions.
  • Here you will be able to copy the Trello token.
